1
Step
Condition your white, yellow, hot-pink, and dark purple polymer clay. FIMO Professional is recommended to keep the pixelated edges sharp and prevent distortion during cutting and assembly. Roll each color into a thin, uniform sheet of about 1.5-mm thickness.
2
Step
Dust your templates or cutting tools with a light layer of cornstarch as a release agent. Cut two white backing shapes with a pointed top and zigzag bottom, and two slightly smaller yellow ghost body shapes with stepped pixel corners.
3
Step
Wipe the raw white backing pieces with a damp cotton swab to clear away any release powder. Carefully center the yellow body pieces on top of the white bases, leaving a clean, even white border around the perimeter, and press gently to create a strong raw-to-raw bond.
4
Step
Cut the hot-pink zigzag skirts and small dark purple square eyes. Wipe the contact areas with a damp cotton swab, then layer the pink skirt over the bottom of the yellow body and position the square eyes symmetrically on the face.
5
Step
Use a piercing tool or needle to punch a clean hanging hole near the top point of the white backing. Place the earrings flat on a ceramic tile and bake according to the clay package directions, letting them cool completely before handling.
6
Step
Smooth any rough edges with fine-grit sandpaper. Clean the metal findings with rubbing alcohol. Using jewelry pliers, open a silver jump ring, thread it through the pierced hole, connect it to the loop of a silver ball stud post, and close the jump ring securely to complete the retro arcade dangles.
