1
Step
Condition your hot-pink, orange, white, cobalt-blue, and bright yellow polymer clay. FIMO Professional is recommended for crisp, clean nested rings, while Sculpey Soufflé provides a lightweight, velvety matte finish.
3
Use graduated oval cutters to cut nested rings
cut a pink outer ring, an orange ring, a white ring, a blue ring, and a solid pink center oval that fit snugly inside one another.
4
Step
Roll out a 1.5 mm white clay backing sheet. Assemble the nested rings from largest to smallest on top of the white backing sheet, wiping the raw seams with a damp cotton swab to ensure a strong bond.
5
Step
Place parchment paper over the assembled medallion and burnish with an acrylic roller until the surface is completely flush. Trim the outer edge with your largest oval cutter to reveal the clean white backing layer.
6
Step
Lightly dust a silicone cameo mold with cornstarch. Press conditioned yellow clay into the mold, release the cast profile, and trim any excess flash with a craft knife.
