1
Step
Condition the pearlescent pale pink polymer clay until pliable. Roll out a thin sheet of yellow clay, dusting your blade or work surface lightly with cornstarch as a release agent, then slice it into small, irregular terrazzo-style chips.
2
Step
Form a core using crumpled aluminum foil to ensure even baking. Wrap the pink clay around the foil core, smoothing out any seams to create a compact loaf shape with a flat bottom, integrated front paws, and two small pointed ears.
3
Step
Press the yellow terrazzo chips gently onto the pink body, scattering them across the back, sides, and head. Ensure they are pressed firmly against the surface while maintaining their irregular, slightly raised organic shapes.
4
Wipe the facial area and inner ears with a damp cotton swab to clean off any release powder. Press the brick-red clay details into place
triangular inner ears, almond eyes, a small nose with a vertical line, and two short whisker lines on each cheek.
5
Step
Bake the figurine on a flat ceramic tile, supporting the ears with batting if necessary. Once fully cured and cooled, seal the piece with a water-based polyurethane glaze like Varathane to achieve a durable glossy finish, avoiding any solvent-based aerosol sprays.
