1
Step
Condition FIMO Professional clay in white, yellow, pink, royal blue, and dark grey. Roll a thick white clay log to serve as the core of the snake, tapering one end to form a neat tail.
2
Step
Roll out thin sheets of yellow, pink, and white clay. Cut them into uniform strips and wrap them around the white core log to create the striped pattern, smoothing the joints with your fingers.
3
Step
Dust a small ball stylus with cornstarch to act as a release agent. Press it into the striped body and head to create a uniform hammered, pebbled texture. Wipe the raw clay with a damp cotton swab to remove any dust.
4
Step
Slice a horizontal mouth opening into the head. Insert a thin strip of dark grey clay to line the mouth cavity, then carefully position tiny white clay teeth along the jawline. Wipe the eye area with a damp cotton swab and press a flat royal-blue clay circle onto the side of the head.
5
Step
Lightly dust an oven-safe cylinder or mandrel with cornstarch. Wrap the snake body around the cylinder to form a double-coil bangle, positioning the head so it overlaps the upper coil.
6
Step
Bake the bangle on its mandrel support according to the clay package instructions. After cooling, wash away any cornstarch residue and seal the entire bangle with a high-gloss water-based polyurethane glaze or UV resin for a shiny, protective finish. Avoid solvent-based varnishes or aerosol sprays.
