What this is

A bold pixel eye with crisp, centred layers

Stacked pixel details drift easily if you line everything up by eye. The white of the eye is cut as one connected piece, so its two halves cannot drift apart while you work; you centre the iris and pupil over it once, and the steps stay crisp. The bright reference colours are cheerful, but use whatever suits your style or collection. It finishes as a brooch, so glue a bar pin to the cooled back when you are done. How you'll make it

The build, at a glance

Five layers, one rule: the white sclera is cut as a single connected piece, so its crescents hold their spacing while you centre the iris and pupil. These four moves sketch the build; the paid guide adds the measurements and alignment checks.

1. 

   Step 1 - rolling and cutting

   Prepare the brooch base

   Roll and cut the yellow eye base so the brooch has a clean foundation.

2. 

   Step 2 - layering

   Add the colour layers

   Layer the light pink backing and white sclera veneers in order and dry-fit the pieces before pressing them down.

3. 

   Step 3 - detail placement

   Build the iris and pupil

   Place the fluorescent pink iris and dark blue pupil pieces so the face reads clearly at brooch scale.

4. 

   Step 4 - bake and hardware

   Bake, cool, and add the bar pin

   Bake the brooch flat, let it cool completely, then bond a glue-on bar pin to the back.
