What the cards can become

Use a quieter or contrasting clay to frame the pair, or repeat one colour from the earrings across every card in the collection.
Stamp a logo or maker's mark into the slab, or cut a small clay mark from a second slab and apply it. Stamp or texture the slab first, then cut, so the cutter edge stays crisp. Keep marks clear of the top bridge and the hole rows.
A single-colour 3D-printed card or a clean clay card gives a collection one consistent format without competing with the jewellery.

Keep one card size and one background across a collection so listing photos frame the same way. A recognisable card colour or mark carries your identity from one listing to the next.
Load the cards with the pairs and group them by collection, colour, or size. The hanger opening lets them hang on a rung or hook rather than lying flat.

Make your first one
Import the STL at 100 percent scale and 3D print it flat with the smooth face on the bed. Load it with the exact earrings you sell and hang it on the hook you use.
Condition enough clay for an even slab and roll it to a measured 2 mm. Press the cutter straight down, lift straight up, and peel away the outside waste. Then lift each inner plug out separately without pulling on the narrow bridge above the hanger opening.
The shallow border and the drill marks are modelled as a 0.45 mm impression in a 2 mm slab. A thicker card moves the marks and changes how the card sits on a rung. Treat 2 mm as the first test, not a rule.
Bake the card flat to your clay's instructions and let it cool fully. Drill-mark cards get their openings now, with a hand pin vise. Then load the card with your earrings and hang it.
Neither is better. Very soft or sticky clay can distort around small raw openings as the cutter lifts. Drilling cured clay takes longer but gives you each opening one at a time. Both cutters are included, so test the one that behaves with the clay you use.

Check before 3D printing a batch
3D printing setup
Use PLA+ or Tough PLA, a 0.4 mm nozzle, and 0.12 to 0.20 mm layers. 3D print each card smooth-face down with supports off, 3 walls, and 80 to 100 percent infill for the thin body.
Use the same nozzle and layer range. Place the handle on the bed with the cutting edges up, supports off, 3 to 4 walls, and 15 to 25 percent infill.
Scaling changes more than the outside size. It also changes the card thickness, top hanger opening, earring holes, cutter wall, and inner border, so use the supplied Small, Medium, and Large models as they are.
3D printers, filament, polymer clay, and jewellery hardware all vary. Make one complete card and check it: the card sits on your display hook, the earrings load and remove easily, the small openings are clean, the card is stiff enough for the pair, a clay card stays flat after baking, and the colour works with the jewellery. If those are right, make the batch.

Photograph one pair per card against a repeatable background, then reuse the same card size across a listing series so product-image crops stay consistent.
Use Small for studs and short drops, Medium for most dangles, and Large for longer statement pairs, then check the actual jewellery and display hook before making a batch.
Arrange loaded cards by size or collection on a market display so customers can scan the range without handling every pair.
Repeat one brand colour across every size for a cohesive range, or change the card colour to separate collections in photos and studio storage.

Once a size, slab thickness, opening method, and colour work for a range, write them down. That is your backing-card spec for the collection, so you are not deciding again every batch.
