1
Step
Condition your yellow polymer clay (FIMO Professional is excellent for keeping a firm shape) and thoroughly mix in fine white glitter. Roll the clay into a smooth teardrop shape with a broad, flat bottom, then gently sculpt two small arm bumps near the base, ensuring the figurine stands securely on its own.
2
Step
Roll out thin sheets of navy blue and pink clay. Cut out two vertical ovals for the eyes, two circles for the cheeks, and a curved, thick strip for the frowning mouth. Add a tiny dot of white clay to each navy eye to represent a light reflection. Use a light dusting of cornstarch on your cutters as a release agent if needed.
3
Step
Prepare the raw yellow body by wiping the face area with a damp cotton swab to remove any oils or release powder. Carefully position and press the eyes, cheeks, and frowning mouth onto the face, using a soft tool to smooth the edges and secure the raw-to-raw clay bond.
4
Step
Place the figurine upright on a baking sheet. If the figurine is large, use a compacted foil core inside the yellow clay to ensure even baking. Bake in a preheated oven according to your clay brand's instructions, letting the piece cool completely before handling to prevent warping.
5
Step
Once fully cooled, apply a high-gloss finish using a compatible water-based polyurethane glaze (like Varathane) or UV resin. This seals the glitter and gives the ghost its signature shiny, polished look. Avoid aerosol sprays or solvent-based varnishes, which will degrade the polymer clay over time.
