1
Step
Condition FIMO Professional clay in yellow, navy blue, and neon pink. Mix a small amount of fine iridescent glitter into each color block to achieve the uniform sparkling effect.
2
Step
Roll a thick yellow dome for the upper body and a matching navy blue cylinder for the lower base. Press the flat bottom of the yellow dome against the flat top of the navy cylinder to create a clean, sharp horizontal seam, then flatten the bottom of the navy base so the figurine stands upright.
3
Step
Roll two small navy blue spheres for the eyes, a tiny pink triangle for the nose, and four pink elements for the sides (two vertical ovals for the upper arms and two round spheres for the paws). Lightly dust any cutters or templates with cornstarch as a release agent to prevent sticking.
4
Step
Wipe the raw contact areas on the body with a damp cotton swab to remove any cornstarch residue or surface oils. Press the navy eyes, pink triangle nose, and overlapping pink limbs firmly onto the body to ensure a strong raw-to-raw clay bond.
5
Step
Cure the figurine in a dedicated oven according to the clay manufacturer's instructions. Support the figurine on a bed of cornstarch or baking polyfill to prevent the rounded back from flat-spotting or slumping during the bake. Let the piece cool completely inside the oven.
6
Step
Apply a high-gloss finish to seal the surface and make the embedded glitter pop. Use a compatible water-based polyurethane glaze, such as Varathane, or a thin coat of UV resin. Avoid solvent-based glazes or aerosol sprays, which react with polymer clay plasticizers and become indefinitely sticky.
