1
Step
Condition FIMO Professional clay in yellow, hot pink, black, and light pink. Roll the yellow clay to a 1.5mm sheet. Dust your pixel template with cornstarch to act as a release agent, then cut out two yellow backing shapes, complete with the top hanging tab.
2
Step
Roll the hot pink clay to a 1.0mm sheet. Dust your template with cornstarch and cut out the pixelated lip shapes, sizing them to leave a uniform yellow staircase border exposed around the edges when layered.
3
Step
Cut the tiny black mouth line, the top black notch, and the light-pink highlight cross. Wipe the raw clay contact areas with a damp cotton swab to clear away any release powder, then press the pink lips and accent pieces firmly onto the yellow base.
4
Step
Use a needle tool to pierce a clean hole through the top yellow tab of each raw earring, ensuring it is centered and ready for hardware attachment.
5
Step
Bake the earrings flat on a ceramic tile following the clay package directions. Let them cool completely on the tile to maintain their flat, geometric profile.
6
Step
Clean the metal findings with rubbing alcohol. Connect the yellow tab to a silver ball stud post using a short chain of three jump rings. If gluing is required for any components, use Devcon 2-Ton Epoxy or E6000 rather than brittle super glue. Seal with a compatible water-based polyurethane like Varathane if a satin finish is desired, avoiding solvent-based aerosol sprays.
