How thick should polymer clay earrings be?
Roll flat earrings about 3 mm thick or a little thinner, measure the raw slab, and size the jump ring, post pad and pasta machine setting to that thickness.

Leave enough room for the ring to move.
Using jump rings that are too thick or too small will pinch your clay, causing the earring to twist or the edge to chip. Dry-fit your rings on a cooled sample first.
