Nine roller bodies
Six fine bodies cover Canvas, Leather, Pebble, Burlap, Stone and Crinkle. Three bold bodies cover Leather, Pebble and Crinkle.
3D-printable polymer clay texture rollers
Add an all-over pattern to a clay slab with six fine textures and three bolder versions, using the supplied handle and impression rails.

Your download
Six fine bodies cover Canvas, Leather, Pebble, Burlap, Stone and Crinkle. Three bold bodies cover Leather, Pebble and Crinkle.
The other 16 STL files supply the axle, knobs, socket fit coupon, spindle stand, impression rails, spacing gauge and rail stands.
The illustrated 3D printing guide explains the 3D print order, handle assembly, matching slab and rail heights, and seam strip. The applicable licence is included with your download.
Maker workflow
Check the 3D-printed fit coupon first. Slide the axle through the roller and fit a knob at each end, leaving the knobs outside the collars.
Use the supplied gauge to space the rails. Fine bodies use a 3 mm clay slab with 2.5 mm rails; bold bodies use a 4 mm slab with 3 mm rails. The smooth collars ride the rails.
Start on scrap clay. Roll in one direction, then lift straight up. The plain seam strip leaves an untextured break once per turn; place cutouts between those breaks.
Before you start
Keep the making setup practical
Fine textures are deliberately shallow. Compare the actual pattern before choosing a body.
If clay clings, try cool, conditioned clay and a barely visible dusting of cornstarch. Heavy powder fills the pattern.
Remove the clay from the tool before baking. Keep 3D-printed tools out of the oven and away from food.
3D printing setup
Use a 0.4 mm nozzle and PLA or PLA+ for the roller. 3D print it upright on one collar at 0.12 mm layers, with 3 walls, 10 percent gyroid infill and supports off. Follow the guide for seam placement and the separate accessory recipe.
Keep the supplied scale. Inspect the sliced relief and seam, then check the handle with the fit coupon before 3D printing the full set.
The clay pictures illustrate the intended negative pattern at the stated slab and rail heights. They show the source texture, including its plain strip; they do not predict clay flow or physical performance.
Before you 3D print
No. It contains digital STL files, a 3D printing guide and the applicable licence. You need access to a 3D printer or 3D printing service.
The guide starts with Canvas fine. 3D print the fit coupon and one body first, then check the handle and try a scrap slab before 3D printing the rest.
The roller has an intentional plain strip for the 3D print seam. It leaves an untextured interruption once per turn. Place your cutouts in the patterned areas between breaks.
